Summer Camps

Xtreme Speech Camp - Cost: $375
• Session 1: June 14 - July 9 (Monday - Thursday)
• Session 2: July 26 - August 19 (Monday - Thursday)
This intense speech program is designed for children with articulation delays. Children receive individualized speech therapy 4 days per week for 4 weeks. Previous years have shown EXCELLENT results in the attainment of new sounds with improved intelligibility.

Xtreme Language Camp - Cost: $275
• Session 1: June 28 - July 22
• Session 2: July 26 - August 20
Xtreme speech has been so successful that we are branching out! This program provides an intense focus for the child with delays in receptive and expressive language. This program will include one-on-one and group sessions to maximize your child’s benefits!

Handwriting Camp - Cost: $225
    • August 16-26 (Monday - Thursday)
       ¤ First Graders: 9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
   ¤ Second Graders: 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.
This two week program is run by our occupational therapists and is designed for children entering kindergarten or first grade. Group sessions will emphasize correct formation, alignment and orientation of lower case letters. Children will use a multi-sensory approach with an emphasis on the “Handwriting without Tears” program to promote writing skills.

Literacy Camp for Preschoolers - Cost: $175
    • June 14 - June 24 (Monday - Thursday)
       ¤ Section A: Ages 3-4     9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
   ¤ Section B: Ages 5-6     1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.
    • July 12 - July 22 (Monday - Thursday)
       ¤ Section A: Ages 3-4     9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
     ¤ Section B: Ages 5-6     1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.
This two week program is run by our special educator and a speech language pathologist and is focused on literacy for children 3-5 years of age. Pre-reading skills are emphasized as children prepare for entrance into school. Developmental skills in all areas are also promoted through group activities.

Social Group for Children with Autism - Cost: $110
• July 6, 8, 13, 15, and 20
       ¤ July 6 - 1:00-3:00 p.m. at Children's Care
       ¤ July 8 - 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Swimming at the YMCA Pool
       ¤ July 13 - 8:30-10:30 a.m. Ice Skating at the City Ice Arena
       ¤ July 15 - 12:00-2:00 p.m. Gymnastics at Just Jymnastics
       ¤ July 20 - 1:00-3:00 p.m. Horseback Riding at Eagle's Ride Equine Center in Piedmont
Did you know that children with autism not only have difficulty with social interaction, but also participate less in physical activity? This group will meet five times in July to promote sports activities and appropriate social interaction for children with autism. Group is led by a speech language pathologist and will include participation in swimming, gymnastics, ice skating and horseback riding.

Bike Riding Camp - Cost: $225
• July 12 - August 5 (Monday & Thursday)
¤ 1:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Does your child have difficulties with balance, coordination or motor planning that make bike riding difficult? Bike riding is an important lifelong skill, and one that can improve your child’s health. This group will be run by a physical therapists and meet twice a week for a 4 week session. Bring a bike and helmet and join the fun!
