Residential and School Services

24 Hour Integrated Residential and School Services
Services are available for students to live and attend school on the campus of Children's Care Hospital and School. Comprehensive 24 hour programming allows for intensive opportunities for students to gain independence and care.

Day Programming Services
Through the Children's Care Day School Program, children attend school within one of our specialized programs (Austin Extended Medical Care Services, Morrison Behavioral Services, or VanDemark Behavioral Services) based on their individualized needs and return to their families home following each school day. The goal of services is to foster independence while maintaining the child in the home setting. Children use a variety of transportation from distances up to 60 miles a day to participate in this programming option.

The extended school year services assists in the prevention of educational losses or maintenance of life critical skills. The Summer Extended School Year combines classroom experiences with community activities to enable children to maintain and build on the their skills they develop during the regular school year.

Birth to Three Services
Children's Care provides early intervention services through certified early childhood teachers for children from birth through three years of age. Individualized programming focuses on the acquisition of social, adaptive, and cognitive skills to promote overall development. Early Childhood Teachers focus on implementation of goals from the IFSP as well as carryover and training of skills to care givers and families within the child's home or daycare environment.

"I like to volunteer at Children's Care because even though I don't work directly with the students, there are still many jobs I am able to do that help them behind the scenes. This year I celebrated my 2-year anniversary volunteering here at Children's Care!"
