NEARLY $20,000 RAISED FOR CHILDREN'S CARE, RAPID CITY IN GOLF "FORE" CHILDREN TOURNAMENT!

We thank the one hundred golfers who gathered June 19th at Meadowbrook Golf Course and raised just under $20,000 for Children's Care, Rapid City at the 6th annual Golf "Fore" Children tournament!

Tom S.The event also featured a hole-in-one by Tom Schoenhard of Rapid City, who was golfing for tournament sponsor Eagle Sales of the Black Hills. Schoenhard won a four-night stay for two with two rounds of golf per person at his choice of one of 12 Fairmont Resort properties. Fairmont has golf resorts in Hawaii, Arizona, Mexico, the Caribbean, Canada, and Scotland. Shoenhard also shot holes-in-one in 2007 and 2008, and says that he hit the pin on the 17th hole during Friday's play, and thought briefly he may have aced that hole, too.

Major tournament sponsors were Epic Outdoor Advertising, Black Hills Regional Eye Institute, Rosenbaum Signs, and Eagle Sales of the Black Hills.

All proceeds go to Children's Care of Rapid City, which annually serves over 1400 children with special needs through physical, occupational, and speech therapies, plus educational and psychological services. Children's Care provides outpatient services at its facility on Jordan Drive in Rapid City. In addition, outreach staff members drive over 10,000 miles a month across western South Dakota, and parts of Wyoming and Nebraska to provide services to children in their own schools, homes, and daycare centers.
