FREE PARENTING CLASS TO OFFER HELP FOR SENSORY CHALLENGESPOSTED: FEB 04, 2014
Sensory Processing 101, led by occupational therapist Sarah Wold-Hanson, MOT, OTR/L, C/NDT, will give you the basics of Sensory Processing Disorder. You'll learn about 'sensory avoiders" and "sensory seekers." You'll learn tips to use at home to help children manage sensory overload, get used to certain clothing textures that may drive them crazy, or try foods that are just too "yucky."
Learn which toys can help calm and center your child, and other techniques and tricks that will head off problems before they turn into battles.
The free class is from 6:00 to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, March 4th at Children's Care in Rapid City. Time is allowed after the presentation for questions and answers. To register, click HERE
