Around 1,000 walkers raised $96,000 at Mall Walk, and donations were still coming in at the end of the event.  Final numbers will be announced by mid-February.

The top fundraising team was Smiley Goats, with team captain Jeff Horstmeyer of Sioux Falls, raising an all-time Mall Walk team record of $10,057!

The top individual fundraiser was Gail Fellbaum of Webster, SD, who raised $7411--in just one week!  Second place individual fundraiser was Brandon Sprock with his mom Sara, of George, Iowa, who raised $5635.  Third place individual fundraiser was Jeff Horstmeyer of Sioux Falls, who raised $4585.

The team with the most registered walkers was Brandon's Buddies, with 75 participants walking for Brandon Sprock.

There were many heartfelt moments at Mall Walk, with team captains and others talking about why--and for whom--they walk, plus teams cheering on their real leaders--the children served by Children's Care.

Thanks to Ben Davis and Tim Neuroth of the MIXX 97.3 for the FABULOUS emceeing they did for the event, plus all the mascots, clowns, cheerleaders, and the Star Wars characters who made the day fun.

Thank you, thank you, thank you to all involved!  Every penny you contributed goes directly to purchase equipment, curriculum, supplies, emergency clothing and more for the kids at Children's Care.

You can still contribute to Mall Walk by going HERE and clicking on the Give button. We hope you'll put next year's date on your calendar for the 21st annual Mall Walk on February 7th, 2015!

"I'm so impressed and happy with the lessons Lisa and Jamie have provided in Adaptive Aquatics. They are by far, the best lessons the girls have ever received. I am very grateful."
