POSTED: SEP 25, 2012

Congratulations to Megan Johnke, OTD/OTR/L, Outreach and Outpatient Therapy Supervisor at Children's Care Hospital & School, on being chosen for the American Occupational Therapy Association's Leadership Development Program for Managers. She was in Bethesda, MD, Sept. 11-13 for training at the AOTA's national headquarters. She was one of only 15 applicants chosen nationwide. The goal of the program is to give practitioners the tools and training to become strong leaders within occupational therapy to help the profession achieve its national goals. Megan joined the Children's Care staff in 2003.

Congratulations on your accomplishment, Megan!

Every day I find myself smiling as I walk down the hallway; I just cannot get over the fact that this is my job. The smiles and laughter that comes from the students I work with rejuvenate my commitment to them and makes my soul feel whole. The thing I enjoy most about working at Children's Care, is knowing that I am helping to make a difference in the lives of every child and family I work with, and that makes me feel like I'm leading a purpose driven life.
